DETAILS ON THE PBS SOCAL BROADCAST OF BIG VOICE
The ratings exceeded PBS SoCal’s daypart average by 40%, and the website (BIG VOICE) landing page was in the top 11 most visited on the PBS SoCal website March 1 to May 3, beating out national programs such as Antiques Roadshow, Independent Lens, and Masterpiece. And, even though the film was focused on a hyper-local Santa Monica group, the film’s story clearly had universal appeal, receiving very broad carriage on PBS stations across the United States. In the first month after being released nationally, the program has already been scheduled over 1,100 times on 203 channels in 114 markets and reaching 80% of the top 25 markets across the country, and in 39 US states – covering 70% of the United States. ~ PBS SoCal
BIG VOICE WINS A BRONZE TELLY AWARD
The PBS broadcast of BIG VOICE has received a Bronze Telly Award for TV Individual Documentary Programming!
The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring video and television across all screens. Established in 1979, The Telly Awards receives over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents. Entrants are judged by The Telly Awards Judging Council—an industry body of over 200 leading experts including advertising agencies, production companies, and major television networks, reflective of the multiscreen industry The Telly Awards celebrates.

If you missed the first PBS SoCal broadcast of BIG VOICE, here’s another chance to see it. SoCal is presenting an encore broadcast of BIG VOICE this coming Thursday, July 12th!
If you are located outside of Southern California and you have not yet seen the TV version of BIG VOICE check out your local PBS Station’s World Channel listings. World Channel has also presented an encore broadcast of BIG VOICE on June 27 @ 7 pm, June 28 @ 12 am, 8 am & 2 pm and June 30 @ 1 pm (all times Eastern).
